Confidentiality applies to all who work for and with Sensory Connection, whether paid or in a voluntary capacity.
Confidentiality is a key element of all therapeutic services. All information disclosed by you will be held between us, however, working to the ethical standards of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, I have to attend monthly supervision where your case may be discussed.
This confidentiality agreement can only be broken when sufficient evidence exists to cause your Therapist and/or their supervisor to believe that you or someone else is at risk of serious harm, or if you disclose information of some known circumstances, that were currently taking place, in which a child or vulnerable adult were at risk or an act of terrorism.
We would then disclose this information to the appropriate agencies, with or without your knowledge if deemed necessary.
